Description: This is a vintage Zenith Trans-Oceanic Radio that dates to the 1950's. Still uses tubes but comes on almost instantly. It's in pretty nice original condition. Still has the original BRIEF OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS flip chart with all kinds of reception information. Also the full electric and mechanical schematic. The radio turns on and received an AM station when I tested it. However, shortly after, the Dial String became loose and now the Tuning Knob just turns and the Dial Indicator doesn't so it's slipping. I looked inside and the string isn't broken but is pretty slack. Probably an easy fix for someone who knows about old radios. There is a Dial Cord Diagram on the schematic. Still has the little Dry Cell Light battery for the Dial Light inside. The original large main 90 volt battery was still in it when I found this radio at an estate sale. It's heavy so I removed it and it's not part of the sale unless the new buyer wants to pay for the additional shipping cost. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back. Check my Feedback.
