Here is a 5 gallon oil / gas open can with spout and wire handle. This early round oil can measures 21" to the top of the spout and 15" to the rim of the can and is 11" diameter at the opening, not including the spout. It has some shallow denting and surface wear inside and out. Very thick and heavy steel and weighs over 6 lbs.On the bottom it is embossed with the name G.P.&F. (Geuder, Paeschke & Frey Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.) There are numbers on the bottom 24-6-27. it says Wedg-Seal on the bottom. This company made much of the metal ware for the U.S. Military, such as canteens, fuel cans, etc. I cannot find one like this anywhere. Unless otherwise stated, my items are used and I do my best to describe to the best of my knowledge. May show signs of gentle wear consistent with normal use.
