Description: This vintage brass fly is for match sticks and a strike on Outer wing of fly. Please see pictures. This is very fun 1940s collectible. Hinged opening for wings to come up. Matches will easily fit inside. As a trinket box, it’d be great for earrings. A perfect trinket box & a unique addition to any collection. The hinged wing lid adds a touch of whimsy, it has aged nicely and has a lovely patina. The detailing is very good. Made of brass, this trinket box is perfect for storing small items and adds a touch of vintage charm. The fly design makes a great conversation piece. Great for any collector. The hinge is fine. The condition is very good. I believe this was meant to accompany the larger fly for cigarettes and ash. As with all used antique and vintage items, there will be signs of use and handling. There may be an occasional scratch or bend. There is a noticeable strike area and dent from use. This item is very nice. Look at pictures carefully
