Description: This is the inaugural edition of Marvel Annual produced by Fleer. In the mid-1990s, Fleer purchased Marvel Comics and started producing many sets devoted to the characters of Marvel. Their high-end quality line, Fleer Flair, was used for this particular release, using 24pt. card stock, a high-gloss, and gold foil stamping. The cards are packaged in a box, rather than a wrapper, and carried a higher price tag than the usual trading cards at that time. The front of each card is a full-bleed image, computer enhanced, and the card backs contain character or event information accompanied by an image of the comic book cover pertaining to the topic of the narrative. Card 6 is erroneously numbered 8, thus there are two number 8 cards: Vulture and Iron Man (the actual number 6 card). Another set numbering item that needs mentioning is cards 135 through 149 are unnumbered (Maximum Carnage subset) as well as cards 141 through 149 (X-Men and X-Force subsets). I have scanned the actual cards so that you can see the basic view of the cards. I believe they are EX or better but look at the scans to decide if you want to bid.
