A few years back I went to a hip bike shop in Van Nuys when mountain bikes were first getting popular to get a tire for my bike and when I went to pay this bike frame had just arrived and was sitting on the floor and wow after looking at it, it was a I GOTTA HAVE IT situation because of its aesthetic structure it couldn't be any cooler the way the rear of the frame is built and the beautifully welded aluminum (I'm a machinist by profession and things like that appeal to me) so I bought it for a do it myself build. When I decided what to use I tried to use all the right stuff, like the wheels have phil woods sealed bearings hubs w/allen bolts and big spokes so the rear wheel stays where it belongs because of the limited tire clearance. I never painted it but started to polish the top tube and found it was two much work and left it. I used to take it to the hip fire trails for exercise with a heart monitor at the lowest gear possible and get in my target heart range and go for it and when I got done or for break I would get stoned on fine quality smoke and haul ass down the fire trail scaring he s*it out of the poor people walking their dogs this bike has never been ridden hard or crashed just used mainly for exercise. It has been abused in storage tho, as it was kept stored outside under cover a few minor things rusted a little wd40 should be used followed with black paint If you want to make it look good. The pictures are as it was moved from storage not cleaned up when I get some time I'll clean it up and take some good pictures, if you ask me that will encourage me, thanx in advance. This is probably a Mountain Klein bikes sold by Klein a 1986 serial #449 I overpriced it but If I get a reasonable offer for this it's yours as a straight purchase, or if I get enough people watching I'll put it on a 10-day auction with a $ 0.99 opening so put it on your watch list if you want it and start saving $ when enough people are listed as watching I'll let them know it's going up for auction at a new # for $ 0.99 for more info/pictures/measurements text me as a bonus if you live close enough to LA to pick it up I have a pro. work stand with a 4' steel plate base worth a couple hundred bucks, I'll give you as a new years present with it. If I have to ship the bike no problem if you give me a little time to get a box and break it down or take it to a bike shop and have them do it I looked at other delivery's and its about $200 USPO ground advantage
