Description: This product is the original, vintage Rival Crock Pot slow cooker that was marketed to American families for the first time--over five decades ago--in a 1970s brochure. This model, 3150/1, was manufactured by Rival Company of Sedalia, Missouri in the 1970s. It features just two heat settings, high (about 300 degrees, according to Rival's brochure) and low (about 200 degrees) and operates on 120V at 210W. The slow cooker has an electric, footed base, with a speckled ivory and brown-colored metal exterior, into which you insert the heavy stoneware liner, which stands about 9 inches high and lifts off for easy cleaning. The crock pot also features a removable, transparent glass lid with a glass knob for easy lifting. Two stay-cool handles make the footed electric base (which has three sturdy legs) easy to lift while cooking; the heavy inner pot (made of stoneware, which comes in a rust color with a glossy finish) also is equipped with two ceramic handles for easy lifting. The cable length on this item is approximately 40 inches, and the crock-pot measures 11.5 inches high and weighs 9 pounds, 2 ounces when fully assembled. This Rival Model comes with the above-described three pieces: a main electric base made of metal, the removable inner pot made of stoneware, and the transparent lid, made of heavy glass. This item is clean, in working condition, durable, and looks good for its considerable age. It does have a few spots where the paint chipped off but hard to see because of all the speckles.
