Description: VINTAGE! 1970's, "HCFD"??, BULLARD, FIREFIGHTERS HELMET WITH SCREEN, "TOMMY'S"?? It has been to a lot of fires! Used helmet in nice condition for it's age. The helmet has "HCFD" and "TOMMY P----" lettered inside (see photo #6). As this is Humboldt County California, it would be assumed that HCFD stands for 'Humboldt County Fire Department'. I can find no record of a 'Humboldt County Fire Department'. It is from an estate sale and no one remembered where the helmet came from, it had been stored for many years. There are several other Fire Departments referred to as "HCFD' all over the country. If you have knowledge of this helmet and who 'Tommy P' was, please share that information by email.
