Description: Vintage 1968 Mexican Marionette Puppet Dolls Good Condition When I was 10 years old way back in 1968, we took a road trip all the way down to Mexico City. We actually camped on the beach in a pull behind travel trailer! In the last picture, that's me standing in the sun along with my brother, sister and cousin. This pair of marionettes is one of the souvenirs we bought while vacationing in Mexico. I have kept these puppets all these years in climate controlled, non-smoking areas of my home. The dolls are both in very good vintage condition. The male doll's clothing is clean and white. His red & white checkered sarape is clean and bright, although a little folded from storage. His hat is in excellent condition. His hair and facial pait is in very good condition with only minimal wear. The female doll is in good condition. Her clothes are clean, but some of the threads have come loose on the back of her skirt. Her hair is complete and is still braded and tied with the original pink ribbons. She shows some loss of paint on her nose and especially on her left eyebrow. Both of her leg strings have been cut. I didn't do it, but my brother would blame it on me because I always gtt blamed for things like that. They will need to be restrung with new black thread/string like the male doll's strings. Overall though, they both survived the past half century quite well.
