Head coach Fred Shabel led the team to a gleaming 23-3 record. Guard Wes Bialosuknia (the Poughkeepsie Popper) was the top scorer w 21.3 pts pg. Center Tony Kimball averaged 19.8 pts and 21 reb. Kimball LED THE NATION in total rebounding (483) as well as per game. They made the NCAA Tourney field of 23 and lost to #3 ranked St Joseph’s in Philly.
