Feel free to contact me for additional photos, or to answer any questions. This is a classic, vintage 1950s-1960s, black, patent leather purse by Winkelman's. It features the "jaw" type, hinged opening with a clasp, with gold (brass) edging and hardware. It has a folded, accordion-style bottom. There is a decorative strap ending in a brass circle on the front. The interior is suede leather with one small, zippered, leather pocket and one open pocket. There is a band of patent leather on one side, upon which "Made in Canada for Winkelman's" and "genuine leather liner" are both embossed. Note, the lettering looks like "Kinkelman's," but this is a signature style logo for the old women's apparel chain. This was a formal, or evening bag. This is a family piece purchased in the early 60s and has been well-cared for. Ready to show off! Watch for more purses and bags!
