Vintage 1960's Silver Extra 3000 Feet Diver w/Pristine Dial,Massive All SS Case

Description: This seldom seen vintage 1960's Silver Extra diver has a pristine orange accented matte grey "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial and the the original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. The all stainless steel bezel, which ratchets bidirectionally, presents beautifully. The massive all stainless steel case shows honest wear with insignificant signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "TESTED 3000 FEET" with "WATERRESISTANT • INCABLOC • ANTIMAGNETIC • STAINLESS STEEL • SWISS MADE • AUTOMATIC" stamped along the inner edge and "692801" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "MODELE" followed by "MLB." The crystal needs to be replaced.The 25 jewels Swiss stamped Felsa 4007N automatic movement with quickset date is clean, keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at approximately 12 am. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After winding the screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 37 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given that this watch is more than 50 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history (there is one undecipherable watchmaker service marking on the inside of the case back) a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 43 mm excluding the crown, approximately 45 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 11 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 14 mm. This watch comes on a lightly used two keeper black rubber strap with brushed steel buckle. Given the vintage nature of this watch and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.
