Description: Here is a very elegant Scandinavian lounge chair with wrap-around rosewood arms and beautifully shaped rosewood legs. This is a vintage armchair, probably from the 1960s, and is in original upholstery. I do have a matching sofa available, please check my other listings or contact me if interested in the pair. I love the sharpness of the arms, and the shape and design of the legs is really really good. The fabric displays as green, but close inspection shows it consists of very fine threads of blue and yellow. It measures approximately 29” Wide x 32” Deep. It is 30.5” Tall at the top of the cushion, and 27.25” Tall at the top of the wood. The seat height is approximately 17”. This chair is in good vintage, original condition. The upholstery and the finish are original. There are no structural issues, and no tears or rips in the fabric. There is some minor, normal wear from age and use, including a few small marks and faint stains, but nothing very noticeable. The loose cushions are filled with the original “pillows” (not blocks of foam), which are soft but not very thick. The chair has new rubber straps installed. The finish on the rosewood is in good original condition with only normal wear, and the color and grain of the rosewood is very nice. Overall this is a very lovely chair. I acquired this chair in Denmark but I do not know the maker and cannot say for sure if it is Danish, Swedish or Norwegian in origin. The unique rosewood arms that wrap around from one side to the other is similar to some Fredrik Kayser and Torbjorn Afdal designs and some designs from Sweden, but I have not found another example exactly like this one.
