Description: This is Aurora kit 372-259 [copyright 1954] but it's their quasi-2nd release of the Boeing B-29 "Superfortress"-- in 1/76 scale. This particular kit was sold in 1955---note the sticker on the box cover for a contest with a 1st place prize of a trip to Disneyland [this contest ended in mid-January 1956].I have inventoried this kit and it is complete. The ORIGINAL "West Hempstead" rectangular base is INCLUDED...ignore the damaged BROOKLYN base...unless you would prefer it! NOTE : THE STAND ARM IN THE PHOTO IS INCORRECT--IT IS FOR THE 1956 AND NEWER TRIANGULAR BASES!! YOU WILL RECEIVE THE CORRECT STAND ARM!!The instruction sheet and box cover [all facets are shown] are not bad....for 1954--some tape...Note that the reverse of the instruction sheet has the Me-109 [and the FW-190] with the "you know what" marking on the vertical stabilizer illegible. You can see these markings on the 1954 instruction sheet [see my other listing]. The Disneyland contest for is included! This kit HAD a small tube of Aurora cement---IT IS NO LONGER PART OF THIS LISTING. The original Tatem decals are shown! I am also including DIGITALLY EDITED AND COLOR CORRECTED REPRODUCTIONS--THESE ARE NOT SHOWN...but can be seen at my other B-29 listing. . NOTE: the 20th AF emblem is corrected, letters/numbers are MUCH sharper than the Tatem decals!
