Description: Red Wing “Lute Song” Mid-century modern True China. I recently purchased an entire set, and will be offering the pieces listed below. Pattern features brown and / or aqua Japanese lutes on a brown speckled cream background, with pale aqua Japanese or Chinese writing characters. Applied handles. Hand-painted. Pattern was produced 1958 – 1959. Discontinued. Not all pieces are hallmarked - those denoted by asterisk (*) have printed hallmark “Red Wing U.S.A. ~ True China ~ Hand painted”. No visible crazing or discoloration. Paint and glaze intact with good color and without scratches or erosion. No chips, flakes, breaks, mends, repairs, cracks, hairlines, blemishes, or mentionable boo-boo's. Don't feel anything amiss when I run finger around edges.
