Description: Here is some information that I found on the internet about Grunden-Martin Manufacturing Company on the internet: In the 1950s, it shifted from production of wooden utensils to metal, and grew into one of the countrys largest producers of paper kites, selling them under the Top Flite brand name. In 1977, it was still billing itself as the largest kite maker in the world. St. Louis was a hotbed for manufacturing paper kites and other inexpensive household products. Two it its three top rivals, Alox Manufacturing and Wilder Manufacturing, were also in St. Louis. Likely the citys location near the geographic the center of the country, with ready access to railroads and the Missouri and Mississippi rivers, contributed to this. This kite is New Old Stock and has spent its life rolled up, I was there first one to unroll it. It's definitely very cool. I would not recommend flying it, it's very fragile. Printed on the end of 1 stice is the price of 19 cents. I had to list this item as used because of ebay faulty listing system. This kite is obviously too old to have a barcode and it wouldn't let me list it as new without a barcode.
