Description: Although this particular brand seems to be well-found in reselling circles, it was difficult for us to find information on this Astrakin's history and background. Nearly all listings to be found, however, appear to be luxury women's winter coats and outerwear. Many coats were the swing coat or long duster style of coat popular in the late 1940's to early 1960's. This style of label seems to date around the 1950's, as do the textiles used, particularly the curly Persian lamb's wool look, which were popular around this time. Bordering and collar are FAUX white mink fur, shell material is FAUX white curled lamb's wool, lining is acetate satin. Overall, there is no significant damage to the structural integrity of the piece, but there is significant staining from use inside of the lining. We do not attempt to remove stains so as not to further damage the inner lining. Hook-and-eye closure with pockets and arm-slits. Across: 23" (46" total around)Sh-Sh 18"Sh-Hem: 23"
