Vintage 1950/60's Belforte 9064 Series All SS Midsize Watch w/'SWISS' Only Dial

Description: ***********Although the automatic movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 41 hour power reserve period given its unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen vintage 1950/60's Belforte has an aged silvery champagne satin "SWISS" only signed dial. The original lume on the hands, which no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. As most clearly seen in picture 5 there is a small piece of lume missing on the minute hand. The all stainless steel midsize monocoque case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SELF WINDING - WATERPROOF - DUSTPROOF STAINLESS STEEL." The crystal shows light scratching. Because the movement is accessed through the crystal I am unable to show pictures of it. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the automatic movement kept accurate time over an approximate 41 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. Given the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 35 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 6.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 9 mm. A complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.
