Description: Vintage 1944 - People On Our Side by Edgar Snow Edgar Snow was born in Kansas City. Missouri in 1905. After graduation from college he spent an extended period of time in China as a correspondent for American and British Newspapers and as a teacher in Chinese University. He wrote People On Our Side after the conclusion of a 60,000 mile, fourteen-month trip covering 17 countries. He was in Stalingrad when the Germans were halted. He travelled all over the Soviet Union and was one of the American correspondents permitted to visit Poland and the Eastern Front Printed in 1944 in the USA., Random House, Inc. 318 pages. Includes maps and Illustrations The dustcover is missing the section that covers the spine (refer to the photo) For the book, some minor wear to the cover, otherwise is generally in good condition.. I purchased it in Shanghai in the 1980’s from where it was sourced from a library in one of the large houses from the colonial era. After 1949 these houses were converted to flats for the local population, later as China opened to the west, items from the houses started to be sold in the markets to foreigners.
