Description: Vintage 1940s Type Specimens: 7 sheets, Caslon, Baskerville, Slab Serifs, Script. This is a collection of seven beautiful 17" x 22" type sheets from the mid 1940s by the Eastern paper company in Bangor, Maine. They are all mounted on cardboard; I don’t know what was used to mount them; I acquired them this way. All show signs of aging, damage, and wear. Please examine photos carefully. They are all yellowed, some stained, with rough edges. Some have small tears or holes. They’re still really nice examples of graphic and printing arts from this period. I don’t have the means or space to keep them or display them properly. These ship media mail due to size.
