Description: Vintage 1940's novelty print dress. The fabric feels like barkcloth, linen or maybe a feed sack material. The brand is "Glenbury Dresses." The print is one of the most interesting I've come across. There are lyrics from a very old folk song - A Rose with a Broken Stem. There's actually one recording of it accessible online. There are images of a woman that go along with the song lyrics. I believe the roses are intentionally blue to go along with the sad lyrics and images. The dress is in very good condition. There is one small stain near the hem but the color really does blend in with the print. There was a repair made a long time ago near one of the side seams. There is room in the hem to shorten or lengthen. Measurements (lying flat): Underarm to underarm 17"Shoulder to shoulder 13.5"Length 39"Waist 13"Hips about 16.5"
