Description: Untitled Document Vintage Original Ceil Chapman Design Black Sequin Tulle Net Evening Gown Dress This rare early vintage Original Ceil Chapman Design black sequin tulle net evening gown dress dates from the 1940s. It is made of a black sequin hand sewn beaded net top and black tulle net fabric skirt. This elegant evening gown dress has a long floor length layered full tulle net skirt, a sequin beaded bodice which dips down onto the top skirt in an icicle design, backless, a plunging V front neckline, replaced black ribbon shoulder straps, a side zipper closure, is fully lined with stays, boning and has an early "Original Chapman Design" "Patent Applied For" designer label and "Livingston Brothers San Francisco" store label sewn inside. The dress measures 57 inches long, with a 34 inch chest, 26 inch waist and 50 inch hips. It is in good condition, with replaced ribbon shoulder straps, a few frayed small holes in the net skirt and several missing sequins mostly on one side under the arm (see close-ups). This is truly a rare and wonderful early label piece of Ceil Chapman designer wearable art! Items are described as accurately as possible, sold as found, possibly having some imperfections and flaws.
