Description: Offered for sale is a very nice unrestored 1938 Art Deco style Silvertone 4763 Tube radio with tuning eye. Case is in VG condition with no cracks or damage. Chassis looks complete with original power cord. The unit does warm up, and I did receive signals on broadcast. I have no history on any restoration of this radio, but tubes look good. All dials and buttons work as they should. This fantastic looking and superb playing large tabletop radio is ready to be proudly displayed and enjoyed. It was sold under the Sears & Roebuck brand name of "Silvertone" as part of the "Sears Golden Jubilee," which offered a series of radios with different sized gold dials and styles in the late 1930s. A six tube receiver, it covers the broadcast band (550-1800 KC) and has short-wave band coverage (in two bands) up to 18 MC. Weighs 20 pounds, 15"W x 12"H x 9"D. Please ask questions prior to purchase. Thanks for looking. This radio will be professionally packed and double boxed. I have shipped hundreds of vintage and antique radios.
