Description: Vintage 1932 Los Angeles Summer Olympics German Cigarette Photo Album and Lake Placid, NY Winter Olympics 1932 Pre-War WWII. 144 Page Hardback Album, Nice Clean Shape. No tears or writing. Spectacular souvenir card and/or stamp album commemorating the 1932 Summer and Winter Olympic Games held in LA and Lake Placid, New York. The album is complete and was issued by the famous Reemtsma Cigarette company from Hamburg, Germany. Photos of events and competitors came with cigarette purchases that were inserted into the album. The book features black and white and color photo inserts from both Games, including a gorgeous hockey competition photo. Team USA took the silver medal on home ice in Lake Placid, 48 years before the gold medal in the Miracle on Ice Olympics. The book has a dark blue linen cover and comprises 144 pages and a fold out with a medal table. The book is written the German language. The album has about 185 pictures in total, 140 small (about 8 x 12 cm) ones as well as about 44 large ( about 12 x 17 cm). About 75 pictures are in color with all the photos glued in cleanly.
