Description: VINTAGE 1930s Large STEELCRAFT LOCKHEED SIRIUS Pressed Steel AIRPLANE Pull Toy. The owner played with as a kid and remembered that the prop turned as he pulled along. It appears that there was a mini belt which ran between the axle and propeller shaft. It would run in a sort of figure 8. I think a toothed timing belt , I use in industrial automation for small stepper motors, would work. They are economical. The WYNN'S decals are obviously not original, however it appears that the originals are underneath. Left side also has a vintage, My dad is a truck driver sticker that was added. The tail wing and tail wheel are missing. It looks like someone has reproduced the wing. The body to wing right hand screw has been replaced. Left front wheel cover seam is opened up some. Small dents on ends of wings. I wiped down gently with damp cloth to remove loose dirt. No attempt to enhance the appearance has been made. If a person were to carefully polish, it would really look quite different. The propeller appears to be in good condition. The shape / bends i think are original. Please contact with any questions.
