Description: Up for sale is a vintage matchbook cover with age related, creasing, soiling, bobtail. This is an interesting puzzle concerning this location. It is an apartment building that we built in 1924. It covers the entire bock. Are we to believe that at one time there was a tavern in the building? Perhaps, or maybe a petter explanation is that the wrong address is on the matchbook. Notice the “1” after Seattle. Who knows, it will take someone from Seattle to set this straight as we could find no information on Bill’s Red Mill Tavern. The phone number on the matchbook is 2 letters and 4 numbers, this type of number came into use in the 1930’s and lasted into the 1960’s. I think this book is probably from the 1940’s or 50’s, but could be earlier. Please see condition description above and photos for a better idea of overall condition and description.
