Description: November 1929 Plenary IndulgenceGranted by Pope Pius XIfor Giovanni Sullivan and Family 1929 POPE PIUS XI (1922 - 1939) Blessing & Plenary Indulgence with Vatican Seal. Includes Vatican Photo under reverse painted glass in its original art deco, wood frame. Frame measures approx. 19" x 15". The plenary indulgence is signed by the Archbishop of Nicomedia, Carlo Cremonesi and has an embossed Vatican seal in the lower right corner. The custom frame, with its reverse painted black and gold glass, was made by Schneider Art Galleries of Seattle, WA. The plenary indulgence was made out to John Sullivan and Family (no doubt from the Seattle, WA area). Condition: Black paint on underside of glass has crazing and cracking. Gold gilt, wood frame has minor flaking. Certificate has foxing and staining due age and storage. Partial paper backing to frame has come off, but is included. Photo of Pope Pius XI is clear and crisp. Hanging wire not included, but eye hooks are present. Please zoom in on photos for more details.
