Vintage 1920s Waltham 15 jewel mens wrist watch. Runs and keeps time.

Description: Vintage Waltham men's wrist watch. Late 1920s production, 15 jewel 3/0 Waltham movement. The very clean case features engraved sides, shows little wear and comes with original bracelet. Watch runs and keeps time but like any vintage timepiece it could use a servicing. The movement serial is 22471817. The (nickel silver?) case is marked "Illinois Watch Case Co. Elgin Spartan" inside. I originally bought this beauty to rehab and wear myself, but it's a hefty piece of metal and too big for me. The case measures 30 mm. wide by 35 mm. over the lugs -- on the wrist it's more of a Cybertruck than nimble Ferrari. The dial is spotless and obviously a redial; the hands are filled with new luminous filling. The crystal appears new and is scratch-free. The only downside is the watch is missing the second hand on the subsidiary dial, but I will supply an selection of original Waltham second hands that should fit the 3/0 movement's pinion. It's a beautiful piece and someone will wear this classic timepiece with pride. It's not a mass produced Applewatch but a piece of horological history.
