Description: The entire razor has a soft gold tone and it’s in superb condition. The top cap is smooth and shiny and the stabilizer pins are rock solid. The open comb is stamped K275242 which confirms the year of 1919, and the teeth are straight. The hairline fissure towards the ball end has no bearing on the quality of your shave and I very common with these handles. The handle knurling is very nice and the razor has been cleaned and sanitized. If I had a genuine gold pocket razor this would be a #502B set. Oh well, the razor is quite nice and the gold plated shell pattern case is definitely a collector’s piece. I can say that I polished it more than I care to, but I think it looks quite nice. It does shut properly. The inside is in fair condition and it’s missing the American Button Company signature Gillette logo patch. The set is completed with a vintage Gillette gold tone blade bank with three vintage Thin Gillette Blades.
