Description: Vintage 18K yellow gold chalcedony bloodstone cabochon size 6.5 ring. Weighs 5.73 grams. Very Good Condition. This 18K gold ring has an unusual prong yellow gold setting for a chalcedony bloodstone polished cabochon stone. The gemstone measures about 6.15 CTW. It is about 5/8” x 1/2” in size. The thinnest part of the band is about 2.5 mm. It has a raised setting which is about 3/8” high. See photos for the detail. The prong setting looks like little fingers holding the gemstone. It is staked K18 on the inside of the shank. The first photo was enlarged to show more detail. From my wife’s personal collection of jewelry. She has retired and unfortunately does not have any children or other deserving relatives to whom she wants to leave her collection. Like most of her jewelry, it has been professionally polished by a jeweler so it has few surface scratches on the gold and the gemstone itself is unscratched to the naked eye.
