The opal is extremely colorful, with flashes of green, blue and orange. PLEASE NOTE: The opal has a chip on one edge, and is sold "as is." The opal cabochon is approximately 1/2 ct in size and is set in multiple prongs. A border of raised shamrock shapes alternated with gold bead work accents the opal, with black enamel, as well. A bit of the enamel is missing (see photos). The face of this petite antique ring measures 1/2" north to south. There is a faint 14k mark, and it tests positive for 14k gold. It weighs 3.1 grams, is a size 4.5, and is in "fair" antique condition--with opal chip and missing enamel.
