Bookplate of Baroness Rothschild, whose birth name was Veronika Henckel von Donnersmarck (* ), on free front endpaper. Bookplate is a white and red embossed cartouche with the Rothschild family crest. Inscribed on inside of front board by a member of the von Donnersmarck family (**). Sporadic foxing on some pages. Abbato Theodoro Corror collected a sufficient number of art and antiquities which led to the opening of the unique Correr Museum in Venice. Vincenzo Lazari, then curator of the collections, is credited with having accurately described and classified the work exhibited. This catalogue was published specifically for the use of visitors to the museum and is still considered to be one of the best authorities on the subject. Few pages unopened as issued.
