Description: U.S. Civil Air Patrol officer's garrison cap from the Vietnam War era. Printed logo and information on the pale blue lining show the cap as a "Flight Ace" from the Ace Manufacturing Company, Inc. of San Antonio, Texas. Size 7 sewn tag with a light blue sateen lining and a brown leatherette sweatband. Shows only light wear with one small "rough" spot on the piping on the wearer's right side. The metal CAP insignia is attached by two pins and clutches. The date code on the lining is "8-1-69" and the attached metal CAP insignia is hallmarked "D-22" which is the style used by the Denmark Company between 1965 and 1978.
