Description: Vintage original Vietnam war in-country machine-embroidered patch "GIOI TUYEN" (Border Force), size is 2.7" by 3.3" - used condition. A great find for any military collectible enthusiast. The 3rd Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) that existed from 1955 to 1975 was part of the I Corps that oversaw the northernmost region of South Vietnam, the central region of Vietnam. The 3rd Division was based in Quang Ngai, around 300 km south of the DMZ. The Division was initially raised in October 1971 in Quảng Trị. One regiment was from the 1st Division (the 2nd Infantry Regiment). Composed of 2nd Infantry Regiment, 56th Infantry Regiment, and 57th Infantry Regiment. All were based at Da Nang. Collapsed in the 1972 Easter Offensive and was reconstituted and destroyed at Da Nang in 1975. For any unsatisfactory reason, item can be returned within 30 days for full refund.
