Description: Vietnam Era US Army Nylon Duffel Bag or Sea Bag - Contract Dated 1968 - Very Nice Condition - RARE Up for sale is a Vietnam Era US Army Nylon Duffel Bag or Sea Bag. The Bag is made of Light weight Nylon material with a canvas carry handle and shoulder strap. These were used ONLY in Vietnam for a limited time period. The nylon was lighter weight and resisted the deterioration from the tropical climate the was common with the canvas bags. The Nylon Duffel Bags are RARE in the collector market today. This bag was used by the Army and USMC during and after the Vietnam War for the troops to carry all of their personal items, clothing and gear to their respective duty stations. This particular example is in Very Nice Condition. No rips or tears, a few discoloration spots, see photos. The markings show it has a 1968 contract date inside the bag. This is a Vietnam Era accessory that is often overlooked or forgotten about in most Vietnam Era Collections. Please see photos. Check out my other items!
