The cover is hinged and flips down to expose the album;(photo 10 & 11). Red velvet faded with age) covers album and stand with pattern design in the velvet. Working lock closure on album. All gilt brass ormolu hardware original and intact. Overall in very good condition with some fading to the fabric,handling to the wood and discoloration around the edge of the mirror. There are 12 pages (double-sided) to hold photos. Photos original to this album also included.
