It is pictured on page 238 of "Gun Tools, Their History and Identification" by James B. Shaffer, Lee A. Rutledge and R. Stephen Dorsey as an unknown "Y" shaped Flintlock Combination Tool. It is not a Confederate tool, but is actually a fair amount older, probably between the Revolutionary War and the 1830's or so. It most likely originated from European influence and could have been copied by an American gunsmith. Not sure what value it would hold, but it is a cool and rare tool.
