Description: Vintage Black Naugahyde Hinged Frame Gladstone Doctor Bag No. 100 from the 1930's in Good Condition.A very sturdy, hard-sided Doctor or Gladstone style bag that is made of thick, Naugahyde material (artificial leather) that dates back to the 1930's, or earlier. The carry handle is intact, and the push-button lock/brass latches all work properly. The bag opens to a fabric lined interior with two full-length side pockets (both are stiff with age). An awesome bag that would be great on display as conversational décor, as a movie or theatre prop, or any other creative use that you can imagine! A great looking bag, with tons of character, that features: A rectangular shaped bag with rounded sides and a flat bottom. Thick black Naugahyde exterior with hinged metal frame and wide mouth opening.A single, thick carry handle (looks like leather) with metal hardware, drop of 2 ½”.Top exterior has a Brass center push-button lock and side lift latches that secure the bag. Bag opens to a brown, canvas lined interior with 2 full-length wall slip pockets. Bottom has 9 metal “feet” for base protection and stability. Bag measures 18” W x 11” H (13 ½” with Handle) x 10” D, weighs 6.11 lbs. Note (images/condition) – good overall condition & clean inside and out though the entire bag shows wear consistent with its age. The exterior shows scuffs, scrapes, ding marks, corner cracking, and patina, the brass hardware shows patina, the canvas lined interior shows spots, stains, and discoloration throughout, the interior has a musty scent, and there is no key for the lock.Comes from a smoke / pet free home.
