Description: Very Rare 1867 Indian Chief Che-Meuse 'Johnny Green' only Known Image Photo. I'd like to offer for your consideration this only know image of Indian chief Johnny Green, Musquaquas tribe, Marshall County, Iowa. According to my research, this is the only known image. He allowed in 1867 Elliott Brothers to take his picture. I do not know how many copies were produced but I'm sure, less than handful survived. It does show wear, please enlarge the picture from your desktop computer to see better every little detail. Overall dimensions 4"x 2 1/2". This item was purchased from the estate of Stephen R. Reed, who was the longest serving mayor of Harrisburg PA and a big collector, who wanted to open his own museum. Unfortunately, he was using tax payers money to buy expensive items and all kind of artifacts and this put the end to his career. Thank you for looking and feel free to contact me with any questions.
