Description: Very Nice Newcomb College matte bowl, floral, 1919, by Sadie Irvine, 3 7/8" tall 8.25” Wide Newcomb College matte glaze bowl made in 1919, with a carved band of cherry blossoms along its shoulder. The Artist is Sadie Irvine. Marks include the Newcomb logo, date code for 1919 (i.e. KA 19), shape 257, JM for potter Joseph Meyer and the incised monogram of the artist Sadia Irvine. The bowl height is 3 7/8 inches and its diameter is 8 1/4 inches. Under a 10X magnifying glass, there is possible “faint” ~¼” darker craze line on the rim that is not seen with the naked eye. Otherwise, excellent condition. I use plenty of bubble wrap and Styrofoam peanuts during packing to ensure each item arrives in the same condition I shipped it. This item will be double boxed for extra protection. I also require each item be fully insured by the USPS mail service. See other auctions for additional pottery.
