Description: For your consideration is a very nice antique passage mortise door lock manufactured in the early 1900's. The lock is # 858 yet is unbranded. The strike, bolt, and face plate are made of brass. The lock body is cast iron. The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled. The lock is reversible - it will work with a right hand or left hand swing door. Dimensions are as follows: Face plate: 5-1/2" x 7/8", Distance between the face and center-of-hub (set back): 2-3/8", Distance between center-of-hub to center-of-key post: 2-3/16". Comes with a functioning skeleton key. Does not come with mounting screws or strike plate. Please look at the pictures carefully as they are considered part of the description.
