Description: Very Collectable Vintage Victorinox Model No.234k, Swiss Army Knife, Made in 1946-1951 #284 This 84mm SAK is a model no. 243k where the k indicated a 84mm knife. This was before SAK models were given names. It is a direct descendant of the original Swiss Officier knife and a predecessor of the current Spartan. It is in very good condition except for the rear scale (2nd & 4th pictures) & point of the small blade (1st & 2nd pictures). Both blades have been sharpened. The following can be used to date this SAK: Rounded Reamer/Punch 1946-1960 (3rd picture) "+ ARMEE SUISSE" tang stamp 1897-1955 (9th picture) "INOXYD over Crossbow" tang stamps 1943-1951 (10th picture) Hook shaped Can Opener 1946-1951 (6th picture) Attachment Shackle 1946-1968 (1st to 4th pictures) Thumb Nail Nick at middle of blade - unknown date old (8th picture)The hook shaped can opener alone indicates a date of manufacture of 1946-1951 I am selling my collection of more than 300 Swiss Army Knives.
