Jaw-dropping simplicity and elegance - this is Donatella Versace showing how glamorous minimalism can be. Several versions of this dress were featured on the runway and the engraved toggles were a collection signature. It is done in a simple black silk/wool fabric - it is dense and crisp with a subtle sheen. In some light it almost looks like a puddle of satin but it has the density to hold all of that heavy tailoring. The dress has a goddess-like one shoulder construction, and the front and back are embellished with three silver toggles. The front shoulder features a minimalist “ruffle” detail. It has a sleek cut down the body and finishes at the leg flaunting hemline. The dress was part of a private collection and gently worn to two Hollywood events. It was cleaned and put into cold storage and is in beautiful crisp condition with no issues.
