Here we have a beautiful vintage earthenware/glazed pottery oval SERVING PLATTER made by VERNONWARE (Metlox, Poppytrail) of California, USA in the "Heyday" pattern displaying a speckled tan background with a center design of circles in dark green and brown. It measures approx. 13" long x 9-3/4" wide x 1-1/2" side high.It is in excellent maintained (lightly/barely used) condition with no chips or cracks, no crazing, no damage noted. The bottom is faintly marked, "UNDER GLAZE ~ HAND DECORATED ~ Heyday ~ VERNONWARE ~ CALIFORNIA-U.S.A."Came from a well cared for private home of many years, however the exact age is unknown, pattern discontinued, production run 1954-1958. This item weighs approx. 2 lb., add 2-1/2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased Payment and shipping...
