Description: This is a custom handmade slip joint folding pocketknife by famous maker Vernon Hicks of Bauxite, Arkansas back in the early 1980s. Vernon was one of the founding members of the Knifemakers Guild and was until he passed in 1992. I got this knife from Vernon at the Memphis Knife Collectors Club show in Memphis, Tennessee in 1982. Included is one of his business cards that he gave me at the time of purchase of this knife. It is a one blade folder and stamped Hicks on the tang of the blade. Blade is a sweeping drop point with nail nick towards the tip. Good snap open and closed. Knife is 6 1/4" open, 2 3/4" blade and blade is 5/8" wide at tang area. Knife has nickel silver bolsters and liners and pins. Handles are beautiful stag with no cracks. Knife has never been sharpened and is in mint condition.
