Description: Up for auction is the amazingly variegated - Philodendron pedatum variegata. LAST 4 PHOTOS Are Of the Actual Plant For Sale- with AMAZING PATTERNS! This plant has a variegated appearance just like 'Florida Beauty' but is actually a variegated form of the PURE SPECIES Philodendron pedatum.. it is much less common than 'Florida Beauty' (which is a hybrid with P. squamiferum) 'Florida Beauty' has a rough textured petiole, while this pure form of variegated P. pedatum has a smooth petiole with variegation stripes. The excellent variegation is quite beautiful and the plant is a good grower that can handle bright light conditions. It is also an excellent indoor plant and does quite well outdoors in warm climates. I've grown it outdoors here in Central Florida- mine have gotten down to about 39 degrees so far without any issue, and I give it a good dose of light, only protecting it from the hard afternoon sun with some tree canopy shade. I've also grown it indoors near a sunny window and it has done very well for me. I highly recommend this one- it definitely has its own unique qualities and I really like the smooth colored petioles. I've been able to grown some nice larger specimens on a totem that were very lush and full- it is also excellent in a hanging basket.
