It has many uses which you can easily research online. It will grow in poor soil and come back year after year. Cats absolutely go nuts for it! My cat definitely prefers it over cat nip. I keep dried root in a sealed jar and she will wake up and come running from a dead sleep in the other room if I only open the jar. Easy to plant. Just start in any good potting soil and keep moist while sprouting. Does not need cold treatment like most arctic tolerant plants. Transplant to garden area when large. You can also grow it out in pots to make the roots easy to harvest but it will soon outgrow most pots. It reaches heights of six to eight feet in my yard in Anchorage. Seeds are incredibly tiny and come in a mixture with some chaff as they are very difficult to separate out. Honestly after you have a few plants established you will have more seeds and root cuttings than you know what to do with. Very easy to grow.
