Description: Offered here is a beautiful and impressive challenge coin that commemorates the A-7 era for the Mighty Shrikes of VA-94. The squadron flew the A-7E Corsair II from 1971 until 1990, and their home port was NAS Lemoore. The coin is 2" wide, and 3mm thick, cast in gold-tone metal with great colors and texture. One side features the squadron's insignia. The other side of this coin is emblazoned with the insignias of the USS Coral Sea and USS Kitty Hawk and USS Enterprise, as the insignias for CVW-15 and CVW-11. These are separated by the squadron's (in)famous war cry, SHWFOTS.
