Description: Offered here is a beautiful and impressive challenge coin that commemorates the A-7 era for the Flying Ubangis of VA-12. The squadron flew the A-7 Corsair II from 1971 until 1986, and their home port was NAS Cecil Field. The coin is 2" wide, and 3mm thick, cast in gold-tone metal with great colors and texture. One side features the squadron's insignia and "Kiss of Death" motif, along with two silhouettes of the A-7. The other side of this coin is emblazoned with the insignias of CVW-7, the USS Independence and USS Eisenhower above Naval Aviator's wings, along with the squadron's (in)famous motto, Ubangi? You Becha! The coin would make a wonderful gift for anyone who served with VA-12, or would make a great addition to any collection. A limited number of these coins are now available, and will be shipped free via USPS First Class Mail to addresses within the continental U.S Overseas orders will be responsible for any additional shipping charges.
