These shoulder boards are old new stock and were never issued or used and can be used if needed. These shoulder boards would be worn by Major of the Interior Troops of the MVD on the Parade Overcoat would date from 1988 as shown on the shoulder boards' underside. It is rare to find Soviet Union shoulder boards of any armed forces, rank or type and they will become harder to find in the future as collectors grab them up. These shoulder board set would be a great addition for militaria, espionage, Cold War, Warsaw Pact, or historical reenactors.
