Description: Here's your chance to own a piece of Naval History! This is a challenge coin only given to the remaining skeleton crew of the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67. (When a ship is decommissioned they begin finding new orders for most of the sailors onboard leaving only a "skeleton crew" of only a handful of sailors from each department are left at the time of decommissioning.) This Coin was only given to that crew that remained meaning there are not a lot of these in circulation. It was given to me by one of those crew members. I served and was stationed in Mayport, FL at the time of it's decommissioning. The "JFK" was the second to last conventional steam ship in service until it's decommissioning in August of 2007.
